(Gray News) – About 357,000 Bio Iconic curling irons sold at popular retailers are being recalled after several burn injuries were reported, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall includes the Bio Ionic One-Inch-Long Barrel Curling Iron with model number LXT-CL-1.0 and a date code between 0722 and 1223.

The model number can be found on the rating label on the handle, and the date code is engraved on the prongs of the plug in the format MMYY for the month and year.

J & D Brush Co. sold the recalled curling irons in the U.S. at Amazon and Bioionic.com, as well as in-store and online at Salon Centric, Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom and in salons and beauty supply stores nationwide from August 2022 through July 2024 for about $165. Around 3,000 we
