Former NHL player Ryan James Kesler is facing two misdemeanor charges of criminal sexual conduct – fourth degree for an alleged incident reported several months ago in Orchard Lake.

Kesler, a metro Detroit native, was arraigned Monday in 48th District Court where bond was set at $50,000 with a 10% provision. He posted the required $5,000 and was released from custody.

According to the Orchard Lake Police Department, the charges stem from an alleged incident reported on Jan. 2. Court files state the alleged incident happened on Jan. 1.

A news release issued Tuesday by the Orchard Lake Police Department states, in part: “To protect the integrity of the legal process, no additional details regarding the allegations can be released at this time.”
