If Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy has his way, film workers, who have been demanding adequate remuneration for their labour during the shootings, will get 20% of the profits earned by the films through ticket fare hike in the first week or 10 days of the release.
This was announced by the chief minister during a felicitation ceremony organized by the Telangana Film Workers Federation at Yousufguda Police Grounds on Monday.
“My government will give permission to film makers to increase the ticket prices in the first few days and screen special shows with high ticket prices, only if they give 20% of the income through increased ticket prices to the film industry workers,” Revanth Reddy said.
