Bad news for Brit blokes - you need to do twice as much exercise as women to stave off heart attacks. ‌

Boffins state new evidence shows men may need to exercise twice as much as women to achieve the same reduction in coronary heart disease risk. ‌

Researchers conducted a study which found that the risk of heart disease fell 30% in women who clocked up 250 minutes of exercise each week, but men needed to do a whopping 530 minutes of graft to get the same results. ‌

That equates to nine hours of exercise a week to see the same health benefit
