TRAVERSE CITY — A section of the Boardman Lake Loop Trail will be closed for more than two weeks while work takes place on the Hull Park Boathouse roof and the installation of solar panels.
The city said the trail will be closed from the Hull Park pedestrian bridge to the restroom at Hull Park beginning Wednesday, Oct. 29, through Friday, Nov. 14, weather permitting.
The roof replacement is part of Traverse City’s broader solar panel project, which includes the Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Hull Park Boathouse.
Officials said the work will generate dust and noise and may cause disruptions for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Detour signs will be posted, and the city is asking the public to use alternate routes when possible to help reduce congestion and maintain worker safety.
