SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- City Utilities (CU) is giving its local customers tips to keep their homes safe while staying warm this winter.

CU is encouraging its customers, before the winter season truly begins, to take a few simple steps to make sure their homes are running efficiently for winter.

CU has the following tips for customers before they turn on the furnace: • Change your air filters: Replace filters before turning on your furnace and change them two to three times throughout the winter.
