LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - An apparent murder-suicide that took place over the weekend in Topeka is under investigation, LaGrange County police say.
On Tuesday, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office sent a news release stating officers received a request for a welfare check at home in the 3000 block of South State Road 5 in Topeka on Saturday, Oct. 25.
A spokesperson for the department says deputies arrived at the home but were not able to make contact with anyone inside.
Shortly after, they say a family member arrived and went inside the home, finding a man and a woman dead.
Detectives then returned to the home, and following an investigation, they say they believe the incident was a murder-suicide.
