The Detroit Lions have cleared a spot on their practice squad after announcing the release of veteran cornerback Kendall Fuller on Monday after signing him just two weeks ago.
The 30-year-old former Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs did not play for the Lions and last played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins toward the end of the 2024 season.
Fuller spent his first two seasons in Washington after being selected in the third round of the 2016 draft out of Virginia Tech before being traded to the Chiefs in 2018 as part of the deal that sent QB Alex Smith to Washington.
He played in 26 games for Kansas City, winning the Super Bowl in 2019 and re-signing with Washington on a four-year deal after the title victory.
