GRAND RAPIDS — Minnesota’s Advanced Rural Transit Innovations (goMARTI) recently expanded its transportation services, adding dozens of new pick-up and drop-off locations in the area.
An event celebrating the expansion was held on Oct. 23 at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids. The event marked the expansion of the goMARTI 2.0 service, which now connects more rural and tribal communities with free, on-demand transportation.
Since its launch in 2022, the service has provided over 30,000 rides, a release noted.
The expansion includes more than 70 new pick-up and drop-off locations, linking Grand Rapids to the communities of LaPrairie, Cohasset, Deer River and Ball Club, including locations within Leech Lake Nation.
