Augusta native and multiple Grammy-winning pop music star Amy Grant returns to Augusta on March 1 for a performance at the Miller Theater.

Tickets go on sale for the public beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Miller Theater members can buy tickets beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Grant was born in Augusta at St. Joseph Hospital, while her father was completing his residency at the Medical College of Georgia, according to previous articles in The Augusta Chronicle. Her family moved to Nashville, where she grew up.

Grant began her career in contemporary Christian music and crossed over to pop music in the mid-1980s, and she's often called the Queen of Christmas because of the multiple Christmas songs and albums she has released, according to the website www.allmusic.com.
