After months of speculation, we finally know more about Doctor Who ’s immediate future. The season two finale gave fans quite the perplexing ending with Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor regenerating into a version who looks like the Doctor’s former companion Rose Tyler. Since then, there’ve been a lot of conflicting rumors about whether the show would return to Disney+ for season three. Now, we know the truth. Doctor Who is cancelled at Disney+ and will not return for season three on that streaming service. However, there will be a 2026 Christmas special on the BBC by showrunner Russell T Davies.
