SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Sparks City Council is moving forward with an affordable housing project in Sparks.

The proposed location for the project would be 306 10th Street.

The development will have 40 one bedroom units at 60% of the area’s median income or below.

Council members say it creates more housing for the workforce and for veterans.

The project costs more than $16 million and is expected to be completed by September 2027.
