Residents hit by the RAAC crisis in Aberdeen are set to receive improved offers for the purchase of their properties.

Hundreds of homes in the Torry and Balnagask areas of the city were found to contain the deadly reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) before being evacuated.

Since the discoveries, homeowners have been left in limbo over their futures, but have now received a welcome update.

Earlier this month, the Scottish Government agreed a funding deal with the city council worth £10million to help support those affected by the crisis.

Now, the council is set to offer residents essentially a pre-RAAC valuation for the purchase of their properties.
