(FOX40.COM) — Mayors and councilmembers from Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Galt and Rancho Cordova, as well as representatives from the county, are set to hold their first joint public agenda meeting addressing homelessness.
Members of the sheriff's office, homeless services staff and several community-based organizations are also expected to participate.
"Homelessness is a widespread crisis – it is not limited by city or county lines," the county said. "People experiencing homelessness often cross jurisdictional boundaries, access care through a variety of systems and may be hampered by the lack of clarity around who is or could be providing them with programs and services."
