Chandrapur, Oct 28 (PTI) A 60-year-old man was attacked and killed by a tiger in the forest area of Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district, an official said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Shivra village, under the Chimur forest area, on Sunday evening, the official said.
He said that Neelkanth Bhure, a farmer and former sarpanch of Shivra village, was attacked by a big cat when he went to inspect crops on his farm on the Shankarpur-Chimur Road.
His half-eaten body was found after a search later in the night, the official said.
