NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio -- A plan for 29 single-family clustered homes on the site of the former Albion Elementary School on Albion Road has received preliminary approval from the Planning Commission.

If the plan wins final approval in the coming weeks, project developer Grey Fox Capital in Independence hopes to start construction in spring 2026.

The developer plans to have all the houses built by early fall of that same year, engineer David Novak told the commission Sept. 3.

Novak is president of Barrington Consulting Group Inc., a Mentor civil engineering firm hired by Grey Fox to design the subdivision, which would stand on about 15½ acres near the northeast corner of Albion and York roads.
