BREMERTON, Wash. — Police in Bremerton are looking for two men who broke into the foot ferry terminal and vandalized vessels before setting them adrift.
On Oct. 20, officers responded to a reported vandalism and discovered that one man had broken in just after midnight, with another coming onto the property around 3:30 a.m. The men damaged two vessels, the Lady Swift and Rich Passage.
Police say one of the men used a fire extinguisher to smash windows on both ferries before he untied them from the dock. Both "drifted a short distance into the water," Bremerton police said. A power cable was also damaged and disconnected.
One of the suspects is also accused of going to a nearby bar and stealing a bottle of alcohol, as well as breaking into a vehicle.
