SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Assemblyman Phil Steck presented $75,000 in state funding to the Social Enterprise and Training (SEAT) Center on Tuesday morning. Specifically for its YouthBuild Schenectady program, the SEAT Center offers workforce training initiatives for applied technologies, previously called the trades.

Some students described the opportunities as a second chance. Organizers said young people ages 16-24 with a high school diploma or even college experience can become prepared for a high-demand, good-paying career.
