Blake Snell could have the World Series in his hands.
The Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander will start Game 5 on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, the team announced on Tuesday.
Toronto is expected to name its starter later in the day.
Snell, 32, was roughed up in a Game 1 loss to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre when he allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings.
However, he had been dominant in three previous post-season starts, combining for 21 innings, just two runs and 27 strikeouts. • Watch the Blue Jays in the World Series on Sportsnet The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for their first World Series in 32 years as they battle the Los Angeles Dodgers.
