Halloween rain, for Portland, is a coin flip question. About half the time, according to the National Weather Service in Portland, the night ends up rainy.

Last year, little goblins may remember, was a wet one. The year before: Dry. The year before that: Very, very wet.

But, here’s the deal with coin flips: It doesn’t matter what the coin did the last time. Each flip is a completely independent event.

All that is to say, so sorry to the tiny demon hunters of the Rose City, but Friday, it is expected to rain.
