AMESBURY — With the federal government shutdown in its fourth week and the real possibility that a lifeline for those needing food assistance runs out of funds on Nov. 1, a local advocacy group is hoping to match those in need with those who have plenty to give.
Mutual aid organization Amesbury Racial and Social Justice recently created an online form to allow Amesbury residents to support their fellow community members who depend on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP, benefits.
