The 2025 season has been a humbling reality check for the Washington Commanders (3-5).

Last year was magical, with quarterback Jayden Daniels taking the NFL by storm as a rookie, leading Washington to the playoffs and an NFC Championship Game appearance.

Everything went just about as well as it possibly could have for the Commanders in 2024, but that certainly hasn’t been the case this season.

Daniels has dealt with a knee and hamstring injury that's forced him to miss three starts, and even when healthy, it’s been much more of a struggle for the offense. Part of that can be attributed to wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel also having been sidelined with various ailments.
