2MIDDLETOWN TWP., Pa. — A woman was shot during a road rage encounter on the Newtown Bypass Monday evening, leading to a multi-agency pursuit and the swift arrest of a suspect in Lower Makefield Township.

The incident began around 6:40 p.m. when the suspect opened fire during a confrontation on the bypass, striking the woman in the wrist.

Police said the victim drove home into Middletown Township, where the shooter followed her and fired another round before fleeing the scene.
