TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Federal funding, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), could potentially begin running dry Saturday if Congress doesn’t reach a deal to end the U.S. government shutdown by then, according to the Associated Press .

As a result, many SNAP recipients could face delays in receiving the federal food aid scheduled for November 1.

Due to the uncertainty, residents are looking into food banks for assistance. Here’s a list of where South Georgia and Big Bend residents can find those resources. This list will continue to be updated as we learn more:
