On Tuesday morning, for four hours, Hiscox brought a national Canadian audience to her hometown of Owen Sound as former neighbours, colleagues and friends gathered to congratulate her on a 43-year broadcasting career. Article content

“The joy and innocence of a small town growing up in the ’60s and ’70s, what a gift that was. I truly am so thankful for what Owen Sound has given me and the lifelong interest the people of Owen Sound have shown me,” Hiscox said.

The morning was part celebration and part reunion as Hiscox was greeted by old teachers, co-workers from CFOS, where she got her start in broadcasting, those who remember her for being named Miss Teen Canada at 16 years old in 1981
