It is fall, and some folks are heading into the woods to hunt — grouse, turkeys, ducks, geese and whitetail deer. They carry guns, bows, calls, scents and camouflage, trying to blend into their surroundings to get close enough to harvest wild animals for food.
This activity spans generations of humans who hunt for sustenance. I have been hunting since I was young, teaching myself archery, tracking, butchering and cooking venison to my liking.
I enjoy my time in the woods, listening to the sounds, smelling the scents, observing the colors and sharing the company of other hunters.
These hunters I refer to are not of the human kind; they are wolves, coyotes and foxes. The fox primarily focuses on smaller creatures, such as mice and other small animals. They help control populations so they
