One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a single-car crash in Duxbury on Saturday night, officials said.

Around 11 p.m., police responded to reports of a crash on the northbound side of Route 3 in Duxbury near Exit 22, according to a statement released by the Massachusetts State Police.

One person, whose identity was not released, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to the statement. Another person was hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police did not say what caused the crash.

No further information was immediately available.
