DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Midwest grocery store chain Hy-Vee announced Tuesday it will donate $100,000 to Feeding America food banks in its region.
In Dubuque, local Hy-Vees are running a donation drive through November 9 due to an increase in people needing the food pantry .

Hy-Vee also gave $25,000 to DoorDash to waive delivery and service fees for customers that receive food assistance benefits.
Hy-Vee says it’s part of the $70 million its given out in food this year.
“Hy-Vee is committed to helping make sure no one goes hungry,” said Hy-Vee CEO Jeremy Gosch.
The donations come amid food security concerns during the government shutdown.
