New Delhi, Oct 28: President Droupadi Murmu will visit the Ambala Air Force Station in Haryana on Wednesday, where she is scheduled to take a sortie in a Rafale fighter jet, one of the Indian Air Force’s frontline combat aircraft known for its advanced avionics and precision strike capabilities.

This will be the President’s second sortie in an Air Force fighter aircraft. Earlier, in April 2023, she had flown in a Sukhoi-30 MKI at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam.

The Rafale, inducted into the Indian Air Force in 2020, plays a key role in India’s air defence preparedness and is stationed at the Ambala base as part of the country’s strategic air fleet.
