Hand it to Nashville SC coach B.J. Callaghan for trying something different.

In an effort to change his team’s fortunes last Friday against Lionel Messi and his high-scoring Inter Miami CF club in Game 1 of the playoffs, Callaghan changed his usual formation and personnel.

But Miami’s 3-1 victory over the visiting Boys in Gold was simply more of the same: The Herons defeated Nashville for the third time this season, and are now unbeaten (8-0-2) in their last 10 contests against NSC.

Might Callaghan make more changes for Game 2 of the best-of-three series, which will be played Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT at Geodis Park?
