A TikTok video showed a fight breaking out near the stadium during the tailgate, right before the gate opened for students to sit down and watch the Hornets take on the Montana Grizzlies.

Chief Chet Madison Jr. from the Sacramento State Police Department sent an email to FOX40 on Monday afternoon regarding the incident that occurred before the game started on Saturday.

Sac State PD said around 6:25 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to numerous physical altercations in the parking lot area east of the stadium. These altercations occurred
