LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Residents in a small town southwest of Nevada are evacuating or sheltering in place after the discovery of a suspicious item, police said.
Police officials said just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received information on a suspicious item on a property near Revere and Main streets in Goodsprings.
LVMPD is responding to the incident, and some residents have been evacuated or are sheltering in place as a precaution.
FOX5 spoke to Terrence Burke, a resident of Goodsprings, who said the evacuations were a result of liquefied dynamite that was found in the middle of the town.
