COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — The original Tom's Market in Coventry will soon close its doors for good, 12 News has learned.

The Tiogue Avenue grocery store, which has been in business for 40 years, will shutter by the end of the year.

It's unclear exactly why the grocery store is closing. The other two Tom's Market locations in Warren and Tiverton will remain open.

Tom's Market is known for its fresh produce, meats and prepared foods. The Coventry location is offering 20% off the entire store ahead of its impending closure.
