New designs for higher safety barriers on Hobart's Tasman Bridge have been publicly released.

Once the upgrade works are complete, the bridge will have higher waterside and roadside barriers on both pathways.
A coroner's report released in July found there was an "immediate need" for the installation of safety barriers on the bridge, after a disproportionate number of deaths by suicide.
