A key piece of the Boston Bruins‘ blue line is set to re-enter the fold.

The Bruins added defenceman Hampus Lindholm to the active roster and assigned fellow d-man Michael Callahan to AHL Providence, the team announced on Tuesday.

Lindholm, 31, left an Oct. 9 game with a lower-body injury, returned for one game nine days after and was later placed on injured reserve.

In three games this season, he has yet to record a point. The 31-year-old Swede joined Boston in a 2022 trade from the Anaheim Ducks.

For his 765-game career, Lindholm — who was drafted sixth overall in 2012 — has 73 goals and 240 assists.

Callahan, 26, also appeared in three games with the Bruins this season while failing to get on the scoresheet.
