LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida woman was caught on camera pointing a gun at a family in a "road rage" incident over the weekend, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies said video from a camera that was mounted on 23-year-old Esmerelda Cruz's vehicle showed her driving toward her neighbor, who was in the middle of the road.
Cruz was then seen getting out of her car and pointing a gun at the family and their dog on 19th Street Southwest and Ruth Avenue South in Lehigh Acres, the sheriff's office said.
Cruz was arrested on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The gun was later found at her home.
“The grid is busier than ever. Road rage has no place in Lee County, and won’t be tolerated," said Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
