WASHINGTON — The Brandywine Valley SPCA is waiving adoption fees in an effort to find homes for as many pets as possible as it moves from its facility on New York Avenue in D.C. to its new facility in DC Village.
The fee waiver will be good through Nov. 9.
According to the shelter, its kennels are full – especially with dogs. In addition, many intakes are staying longer before being adopted.
“There simply is not enough room to consolidate the number of animals we already have at the New York Ave location and DC Village campus into one building. While we are incredibly excited about our new campus becoming fully operational, our focus right now is on finding homes for the pets already in our care, and we are asking the community to step up to support this transition,” said Adam Lamb, CEO
