CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio’s streak of crisp, sunny fall days will come to an end soon, with widespread rain expected to arrive Wednesday night and linger through the end of the week.
High pressure centered over eastern Canada will keep skies mostly clear and winds light through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland . Afternoon highs will reach the upper 50s across much of the region, right on par for late October.
Clouds will increase Wednesday as a complex low-pressure system lifts north from the Mississippi Valley. The first showers should reach southern counties by evening, spreading north overnight as moisture surges in from the Gulf of Mexico.
