The White Marlin Open will now allow participants to fish three out of six days, starting on Monday and ending on Saturday, the tournament announced on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

With the 2026 White Marlin Open 10 months away, the Ocean City billfish tournament announced an update to its format for the upcoming iteration of the White Marlin Open.

“Unpredictable weather patterns have made it increasingly difficult for teams to plan their fishing days,” Madelyne Motsko, White Marlin Open Tournament Director, said in a statement. “By extending the window to six days, we’re giving every crew a better chance to compete under fair and favorable conditions.”
