The city of Loveland announced Tuesday that overnight shelter operations at the Loveland Resource Center (LRC) have been extended through March 15, 2026, while the search continues for a permanent facility.
“First and foremost, our goal is to do the right thing while we collaborate with partners on an inclusive, strategic long-term plan,” Loveland City Manager Jim Thompson stated in a media release. “We’re having productive conversations and moving in a positive direction. While the future solution is still taking shape, we’re using this time to be strategic and build a plan that can work for Loveland’s future.”
The Resource Center, at 137 S. Lincoln Ave., has served as the city’s daytime shelter since July 2022. It was pressed into overnight service in early October after the closure of
