A man in his 60s suffered critical injuries in a multivehicle collision involving a flatbed truck this morning in Kapolei, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
EMS responded to the scene at Farrington Highway and Waiomea Street at about 8:50 a.m. Paramedics administered life-saving treatment to the man and took him to the hospital in critical condition.
Another man involved in the collision, also in his 60s, declined treatment.
EMS said it was the third major motor vehicle collision on the leeward side that it responded to this morning, all on Farrington Highway.
The first, at about 5 a.m., was a multivehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old woman who was in a marked crosswalk near Wendy’s in Nanakuli.
