NEW DELHI: In a new revelation, the Delhi Police have exposed a fabricated acid attack case that turned out to be a carefully planned conspiracy. What initially appeared to be a case of violence against a young woman has now been revealed as a staged crime, allegedly orchestrated to protect the woman’s father, who was facing charges of sexual harassment and blackmail. According to police officials, a 20-year-old woman had claimed that she was attacked with acid near Laxmi Bai College, suffering burn injuries. Acting swiftly, police registered an FIR and launched an investigation. However, inconsistencies in the woman’s account soon raised suspicion.
