GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two brothers in Gwinnett County will spend the rest of their lives in prison after being convicted in the 2021 killing of a 37-year-old man.
The office of Gwinnett District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said in a release that a jury on Friday found 25-year-old Deavian Netters and 24-year-old Julian Netters Jr. guilty in the case.
They were each sentenced to life in prison plus five years on charges that included malice murder (for Deavian), felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to the DA's Office, the brothers shot 37-year-old Shaquon McKensey in a verbal altercation in a Lawrenceville hookah lounge in April 2021.
