SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Piedmont Technical College hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Saluda County Center for Manufacturing Excellence, which is planned to serve as a regional hub for advanced manufacturing education and workforce training.

College officials said the campus will expand access to high-demand technical programs for students.

The 22,635 square-foot building will cost $14.3 million, funded through state investment and local partnerships, and is also expected to attract new businesses and industries to the county, according to officials.
