BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested following a traffic stop on Wednesday.
During a traffic stop on I-40 near Candler, deputies found Jason Andrew Jenkins of Pendelton, SC, to have trafficking quantities of illegal narcotics in his possession, as well as drug paraphernalia and more than $5,000 in cash. The following evidence was seized:
107.7 grams of Fentanyl
80.6 grams of Crack Cocaine
$5,367.25 of US Currency
6.6 grams of Marijuana
263.4 grams Mannitol (Used as a cutting agent/Drug Paraphernalia)
As a result of this investigation, Jenkins was charged with the following:
Trafficking in fentanyl by possession (Level III)
Trafficking in fentanyl by transportation (Level III)
Trafficking in cocaine by possession (Leve
