England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt said she would love to face India in the final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, calling the prospect of such a clash “brilliant” for the competition and the atmosphere it would create.
Speaking on the eve of England’s semifinal against South Africa at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on October 28, Sciver-Brunt said her focus remained on the upcoming game but admitted an India–England final would be special.
“I guess for me, I’m trying to think about tomorrow first and, yeah, obviously once we finish that game and hopefully we’re through into the final, we’ll be watching that game tomorrow with great interest,” she said. “For the competition, it would be brilliant if India got to the final, just to feel that atmosphere, I think.”
