Pittsburgh Steelers safety DeShon Elliott , who was reportedly thought to be lost for the season, could end up playing again this season. Head coach Mike Tomlin declared that Elliott was week-to-week and they have not yet decided if he would go on injured reserve.
Elliott’s ACL is intact, but there is other associated damage the Steelers are working through with Elliott that Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported will likely keep him out for the rest of the season. The Steelers also lost defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale for the season with a torn ACL.
Still, Tomlin did rule out Elliott for this week, but his report seems more optimistic than that of Fowler’s, which means that Elliott could potentially return at some point this season.
