BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. —
An Upstate South Carolina man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
On Oct. 22, deputies with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 40 near Candler.
During the traffic stop, Jason Andrew Jenkins of Pendleton, SC, was found to have trafficking amounts of narcotics as well as drug paraphernalia and more than $5,000.
The following evidence was seized:
107.7 grams of fentanyl
80.6 grams of crack cocaine
$5,367.25 of U.S. currency
6.6 grams of marijuana
263.4 grams mannitol (used as a cutting agent/drug paraphernalia)
Jenkins was charged with the following:
Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
