BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A bike trail in Trumbull County has officially reopened on Tuesday after a four-year closure.
The Western Reserve Greenway Bike Trail in Bristol Township is officially reopened after a landslide caused by erosion from a nearby stream left the path unstable, causing it to need to be rebuilt.
The rebuilding process cost about $370 million and was able to be done with the help of state grants.
Trumbull County Metroparks Executive Director Zachary Svette tells 21 News the trail allows riders to ride their bikes from Warren all the way to Lake Erie.
Additionally, new fencing was added to the trail to allow for people to enjoy the views off the bridge.
