KEWANEE, Ill. (KWQC) - Kewanee will start looking for a new city manager after relieving Gary Bradley of his duties.

Bradley was relieved of his duties on Monday, according to a letter from Mayor Gary Moore.

Moore said in the letter that he and the city council believe a change in leadership is needed as the city moves forward with strategic goals and community priorities.

“We are grateful for Gary’s service and the contributions he made during his tenure, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” Moore said in the letter.

City leaders will appoint an interim city manager in the next couple days, Moore said. City leaders will also start the process of hiring a new city manager.
